guten nacht! that's good night, to all you ignorant folks out there. (in case u were wondering, that is NOT the only phrase i rmbered in europe...really..... i swear!)
it's been a while since i came back fom vacation, and anyways, too late to WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS already since it's boxing day. (oh wait, i just did.)
anyone knows what the origin of boxing day is? haha, i knew you plebians didn't. it all started in 1209, in medieval Whatchamacallit, where this guy called Boxing (don't ask me why his momma called him that. but word goes that he kinda looked like spongebob) had a son by the name of Day (this, i know. his son was born at the break of dawn, hence the name.) well you see, the Whatchamacallitians don't got too accurate grammar, neither could they really speak england, but somehow, they got the words "Boxing" and "Day" right, 'cept that it shoulda been Boxing's Day, 'steada Boxing Day.
and personally, i don't really see what so fantabulous 'bout this Boxing fella and his son (quite stupid names, if you ask me). but what the heck, the Whatchamacallitians loved him, or maybe they just had a ball of a time laughing their asses off at these blokes.
and that, my friends, IS the origin of Boxing Day. trust me, i DO know best.
